Questions We Often Hear
Is the St. Louis Better Together Networking a chapter of a larger organization?
Nope. It’s just us for now. We are the entire organization.
How much is membership?
That’s the best part! Membership is free!
Why is membership free?
Because the members own the group, and as members we really like free. There is a $5 fee per person per meeting. We charge that so we can bring in great speakers and compensate them for their time and effort because we greatly value everyone’s time and expertise.
How do I become a member?
It’s easy: come to a meeting so we can meet you, and then if you still like us, go fill out the membership application form.
Who leads Better Together Networking?
BTN was formed by five women in business: Annie Hurst, Beth Brockling, Caitlin Brand, Kelly Hayes, and Mindy Schoeneman. They are now the Better Together Committee, working together with members to keep the group community-minded, education-based, and ever-growing.
What responsibilities or roles do the members have in the organization?
Members vote on every new applicant, ensuring they have a voice in the growth of the group. If a major change to the group’s bylaws is being proposed by the committee, then members will be asked to give their input and put the change to a vote. Members are also welcome to volunteer for various tasks that help keep the group growing.
How often does the group meet?
We meet on the second Tuesday of every month. That meeting is open to visitors and members alike. There is a meeting for members only once every quarter.
